DealsMine (“we”, “us”) is a community deals app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
Information you give us
Account details: your name, username, email, and password (passwords are stored encrypted, never in plain text).
Content you create: deals you post, photos, prices, votes, watchlists, and your referral code.
Optional profile info: avatar, bio, and city.
Information collected automatically
Usage data: which deals you view, search terms, and taps, used to improve ranking and recommendations.
Device data: app version, device model, and OS, used for support and crash diagnostics.
Approximate location (only with your permission): to show deals near you and send geo-alerts. You can turn this off in your device settings at any time.
How we use your information
To run the app — show the deal feed, post your deals, award Ores, and rank tiers.
To send notifications you opt into, such as price drops and expiring saved deals.
To keep the community safe — detect spam, fraud, and fake or expired deals.
To improve features and fix problems.
Affiliate links
Some deals link to retailers through affiliate programs. If you buy after tapping one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links may pass a tag that tells the retailer the visit came from DealsMine; we don’t receive your purchase details.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate — for example our hosting and database provider (Supabase), notification services, and analytics — and only as needed to run the app. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Anything you post publicly (deals, votes, username, avatar) is visible to other users by design.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. Deals you’ve posted may remain in the community feed for their usefulness even after you delete your account, but they’ll be disassociated from your personal profile.
Your choices and rights
Access or correct your information from your profile, or by contacting us.
Delete your account and associated personal data at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account, or by emailing us.
Control notifications in Profile → Notification preferences, and location in your device settings.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and row-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
DealsMine is not intended for anyone under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We’ll update this policy as the app evolves and note the date above. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
